Line Grapefruit is a tricky Flash “path” game

Posted by admin on May 20, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
Okay, see that snaking line coming in from the right on the screenshot? That’s you. And see those large round circles? Those are supposedly grapefruits, only they won’t sit still – they keep moving up and down and cutting across your path. And if you touch one, you die! That’s what you have to deal with in Line Grapefruit. But that’s not all – you’re also on a time limit. In fact, you have a very limited amount of time to make it through the “path” (for lack of a better word). You need to snake your way through the winding trail...

Sand Trap is a fun and difficult physics maze game

Posted by admin on May 20, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
Sand Trap is one of those games that at first seem too hard to bother with, but when you try to stop playing it you discover you’re hooked. The goal is to get as much sand as you possibly can out of the maze and into the bucket at the bottom of the screen. You need to rotate your maze every which way to get the sand rolling around it. You then try to direct the sand to one of the exits of the maze, and hopefully into the bucket. It took me several tries to actually get sand into the bucket, but that might be due to the fact that I didn’t even realize the bucket was there at...

Kudo Tsunoda: ‘Waiting for the next big thing isn’t about waiting for the Kinect 2′

Posted by admin on May 20, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
Last summer, try as we might, we couldn’t get too much out of Microsoft’s creative director for Kinect Games, Kudo Tsunoda, about what’s next from the interactive peripheral. More recently, in an interview with Venture Beat, Tsunoda was a little more verbose about what he thinks the next big thing in Kinect is — and it isn’t a Kinect 2. The good news is, he believes that no new hardware will be required, and the innovations will likely come from developers, as they better understand and utilize the capabilities. A combination of voice, tone and facial...

Facebook likes Karma app, buys the whole darn thing

Posted by admin on May 20, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
What does one do after generating billions from an initial public stock offering? Go shopping, of course. After falling short of expectations following its somewhat helter-skelter IPO debut, Facebook simply shook off the whole thing and acquired itself some good Karma. No, we’re not talking about that Karma. Instead, Facebook purchased the startup responsible for the Karma social gifting app. The move was apparently made to bolster Facebook’s mobile chops — an area the company considers ripe for opportunity. Just recently, Facebook also acquired mobile stalwart Instagram...

How Effective is the iPad as a Business Tool?

Posted by admin on May 20, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
Right from the start the iPad was marketed as one of the best unique devices to be launched on the market. It’s screen size and ability to render amazing images as well as it’s great video playback lives up to this claim.
